About Us
What is the AHS?
The AHS – the National Federation of Atheist, Humanist and Secular Student Societies to use its full title – is a federation of non-religious student societies based at higher education institutions in the United Kingdom.
Our Vision
“A thriving atheist, humanist or secular student society in every institute of Higher Education in the UK, networked together, with a shared voice in public life, whose members can contribute to and be part of the wider national and international movement.”
Our Mission
“To build, support and represent atheist, humanist and secular student societies; to facilitate communication between them, to encourage joint actions and to ensure that their members have opportunities to be part of the wider national and international movement.”
Any atheist, Humanist, secular or other non-religious student society can apply for membership. To learn more about becoming a member or affiliating with the AHS, please see the membership section.
Our Constitution
The governing document of the AHS is our constitution. We aim to run as transparent an organisation as possible, and so you can download a copy from this website.
