[New Debate ]

When running a debate first decide who you will be running the event with and get them to say yes. Try your Christian Union or Islamic Society. I would suggest you decide as a committee on 5 title suggestions and give the other group the choice. (saying you are open to new suggestions if you are). Internal debates within your society are quite fun too and way less stressful to organise. If you need a speaker for a debate look at the speakers directory or contact the Head of Education at education@ahsstudents.org.uk.

Note when debating another society a good chair is needed. It is recommended you contact your debates society to help with this. N.B. Most of these titles have been used. In many cases they were picked by the speaker so they could talk on their interest area or make a specific point. Many of the debates are on YouTube, so it might be worth watching them. Don't be afraid to change the titles for your needs.
