Non-Prophet Week Days 3 & 4

As always in the student week, Wednesday was quiet so we decided to do Wednesday and Thursday updates together. The current total stands at £1629.42. Still no donations of blood - guys the earlier you get over your phobia of needles the better!

The University of Surrey Skeptic & Atheist Society ran a bake sale for two days, raising a total of £95 for Children in Need, which is fantastic. They want to thanks everyone who helped out in baking, selling and eating.

Ben Krishna, the President of Oxford Atheists, Secularists, and Humanists Society has survived four days of being a Puritan. Only three more to go of not drinking, swearing or eating meat. His blog and food diary will be published later on today.

Jess Vautier has reached her target of £200 by giving personal serenades. With people requesting a whole variety of songs and even paying for serenades for their friends! She’s been performing them in person to people close enough and as there are AHS members all over the country she’s being making YouTube videos of her serenading.

University College London, Atheist, Secular and Humanist Society ran a charity film screening of V for Vendetta as a belated celebration of Guy Fawkes night. It’s a spectacularly awesome take on the spectacularly awesomer Alan Moore graphic novel.

The University of Bristol Atheist, Agnostic and Secular Society held a pub quiz in support of Non-Prophet Week. The winning team, team “Team”, won a bottle of wine and, err, a quiche. They raised £27 for the British Red Cross Society.

Well done everyone for your great work and thank you everyone that is supporting this week!
