Non-Prophet Week - Day 2

Yesterday’s Quiz Night ran by Southampton Atheist Society went well. They had lots of fun and raised £37 for Children in Need.

Leeds Atheist Societies Quiz Night was as wild as any Leeds event, with more chocolate than anyone could eat! Nicola (Non-Prophet Week Coordinator's) team came last, partly because she distracted the team by sharing photos of hippopotamuses and because standard deviation wasn‘t used. The booby prize of the dancing, singing pig was won by a newby who tried his best to give it away. They raised around £70 for Medecins sans Frontieres.

The BHA Choir and UCL ran a choral event, which made around £120. Chloe from the BHA Choir said she was, "Really pleased with the turn out and money raised - especially since it was reading week! Was great to mingle with UCLUASHS and hear their voices. They can join the BHA Choir any time they like! (As one student actually did. Anyone can - we believe everyone can sing). Thanks to everyone who made this happen x"

Birmingham’s Guerrilla bake sale raised around £90. They had some of the best brownies courtesy of Amber. Some carrot cake, apple cake, Ninjabreadmen, and chocolate cornflakes. The day kicked off to a great start, with a kindly gentleman giving them £10 because he was in a generous mood! The proceeds are going to be split evenly between Water Aid and Medecins Sans Frontieres

The other sponsored events raised another £40.

Well done everyone for another successful day. Keep up the good work! We're nearly half way to meeting our £4,000 target!
