Calling all Non-Prophets!

Returning for its third successive campaign, it's Non-Prophet Week! From October 29th to November 4th, student societies across the UK will be raising money for good causes, under divine instruction from nothing and no one...this is godless giving, pure and simple!

Our previous Non-Prophet Weeks were a great success: in February 2011 we raised £2,358.83 for 10 different charities, and the following November we beat our previous total by raising £2,879.04, for Children In Need among other worthy causes. This money was raised by intrepid AHS students running, cycling, baking, singing, growing moustaches, taking vows of silence, pelting each other with eggs (!)...just about every sponsored activity they could think of.

Now, the time approaches for godless givers everywhere to once again use their creativity, determination (or capacity for self-humiliation) in aid of a good cause. This year, the AHS have chosen to support Survivors Voice, a new charity which aims to help victims of child abuse...but, as with previous Non-Prophet Weeks, we invite you to raise money for whatever charity you feel the most passionate about.

Can you come up with even more fiendishly brilliant ways to help a good cause than last year? Can you help us to beat last year's total of £2,879.04? Of course you can!

Non-Prophet Week is a lot of fun, and everyone is welcome to get involved. So get your thinking caps on, and start thinking about what sponsored activity you can do this year...the more inventive and original the better!
