Un-Stunned Meat in Universities Freedom of Information Act Campaign
The slaughter of animals for human consumption is a contentious matter. Vegetarianism is more prevalent in members of the atheist, humanist and secular communities than the general population and this is often for ethical reasons. It is perhaps not too controversial, however, to state that when animals are slaughtered then they ought to be slaughtered humanely. This report will not examine the ethics of animal slaughter, but will focus on evidence for religious privilege instead.
