Share this post to New Yorkers: Showing utter contempt for the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights, The New York City Council voted (38 to 11) to permit church services in public school (on weekends for example) and they are now seeking permission of the state legislature to allow for this religious use of tax-payer funded schools. If you don't live in New York State, you know someone who does, so share this link with anyone from Buffalo to Long Island. Below are links to write a member of the New York Assembly (legislature). There is an editorial linked that goes into more detail. Ask Assembly members to support the Bill of Rights that keeps religion out of government. You can also thank the 11 members of the City Council who showed respect for the Bill of Rights. This is nothing less than grabbing tax dollars and hijacking schools for religion. Christian churches have assembled there but Satan worshippers would have equal right to hold services at schools, but the right answer is that is not the proper role of schools under the Constitution. -- Sean Faircloth, Dir. of Strategy & Policy
